Audit assignments by the European Commission

Our Firm, as an independent member in Greece of the International Association of Certified Public Accountants and Business Consultants, IGAF Polaris, has participated in all the audits assigned to our Association by the European Commission.

Following international bids involving a large number of international networks and associations of Certified Public Accountants and Business Consultants, the European Commission assigned to IGAF Polaris the framework contracts shown below:

September 1999

Τhe audit of RTD projects of the 4th and 5th Framework Programme in all Member States of the EU and partner countries for the years 1999-2003.

June 2006

Τhe audit of RTD projects of the 6th Framework Programme to all Member States of the EU and partner countries for the years 2006-2009.

January 2009

Second assignment concerning the audits of projects of the 6th Framework Programme to all Member States of the EU and partner countries for the period 2009-2012.

Following the above successive awards, IGAF Polaris is now considered as the most experienced international organisation in the field of research project audits.

Our Firm’s audit experience

In the past 12 years, Kypris & Associates S.A. has performed the following audits on behalf of the European Commission:

- 91 projects of the 4th and 5th Framework Programme with a total budget of approximately 24.000.000 Euro.

-110 FP6 projects concerning total expenditure of approximately 30,000,000 Euro.

In addition, we have issued to our clients engaged in RTD projects of the 5th, 6th and 7th Framework Programmes, more than 250 audit certificates concerning 130 projects with an approximate total expenditure of 35,000,000 Euro.

It is noted, that under the above mentioned European Commission audits, the European Network of IGAF Polaris, has conducted more than 3.000 audits.

These audits are coordinated by the Central Management Team that is permanently established in Brussels. Our team is in constant contact with the European Commission services, having a direct and immediate knowledge of the on-going developments regarding the financial management of research projects and the resultant changes of the governing rules and conditions.
